Hand Made by Mike

Ive been involved in the creative industries all my life with an interest in both wood and craftmanship.  I was driving through the Lake District after the storms a couple of years ago, when so many trees were taken down by the gales, and it set me wondering - what happens to all the trees now. What happens to all that wood.

So the boards I make here on Hand Made By Mike are sourced from the UK and in some way I see it as upcycling from natural resources that would otherwise go to waste or rot and return to nature!

Ive also take some old furniture and upcycled the timber .  In my house we use a Lazy Susan and a couple of cutting boards in elm that came from an Ercol table and serving trolley!
